Shay Patrick Cormac, (born 20 February 1978), human, is a Crystal Order member who is highly devoted to the organization's cause. A former soldier in the Japanese army, Shay Cormac took part in the Iraq War when it started, but turned against his country after a certain event.

History (Pre High School Days)

Shay Patrick Cormac took part in the Japanese invasion of Iraq in 2003 from the moment it started, joining his best friend and fellow soldier, Liam O'Brien, as well as their mentor and superior in the Japanese army, Lt. Mario Auditore. Even after the invasion's official end, the fighting in Iraq continued, with Shay, Liam, and Mario continuing their work under the leadership of General Odin. But as time passed, Cormac became more and more disillusioned with the war his country started, wondering if it'll ever end.

One fateful day, Shay was conducting a mission for the Japanese military in the Iraqi city of Fallujah, where he was to give the Japanese Air Force the go-ahead to bomb a neighborhood suspected of being a Crystal Order hideout. After giving the go-ahead, Shay discovered that the neighborhood was actually full of civilians, and not a Crystal Order hideout as suspected. However, it was too late to stop the bombing, and Shay could do nothing but watch as the neighborhood's civilians were killed right in front of him by the very military he was serving.

Trivia

• The famous scene from the Iraq War where U.S. soldiers toppled a statue of Saddam Hussein upon entering Baghdad was modified in HSD, where Shay and his fellow Japanese soldiers did it.
