Princess Serenity (born unknown) is a mysterious young woman who has appeared in the dreams of Tommy Olivers and Akira Date. She is the one that the Sailor Scouts are searching for through the guidance of Artemis and Luna
History (Pre High School Days)[]
Serenity was the princess and sole heir to the throne of the Moon Kingdom. She lived in the palace with her mother, Queen Serenity, and was protected as well as friends with the princesses of the Inner Solar System, Sailor Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, and Venus. Serenity had a big interest for the world of Earth, more specifically the prince, Darien. She would often travel down to Earth and secretly watched the earth prince until he noticed and the two fell in love.
One day, however, Queen Beryl appeared and destroyed the kingdom. As a last ditch effort to save everyone, Queen Serenity used the Crescent Moon Wand with the Silver Crystal to send everyone who was in the attack to the future in hope that this time, Serenity and Darien would be able to love each other in a more peaceful time before passing on.

Serenity is mature and had a wisdom beyond her years. She is calm and patient, even understanding when Tommy explained that he had someone (Kimberly) waiting for him. Serenity hides her sadness over the loss of her home and her family, but occasionally shows it once in a while.
Appearance[]
Princess Serenity has silver hair done up in buns, a trait shown to have carried over in her subsequent incarnations, and is shown wearing a white regal dress. On her shoulders are round-shaped sleeves while there was a small bow tied onto the back of her dress. Serenity wears a gold bracelet on her right wrist and white beads in her hair, on her forehead is a crescent moon, symbol of the royal family. Serenity wears golden earrings with the crescent moon on her ears.
Trivia[]
- Though Serenity is called Serena in the original English dub, she is referred by her Japanese dub name and her original manga appearance to throw off the princess's real idenitiy.
- Serenity having the power to appear in people's dreams is reference to her appearing in Darien's dreams and telling him to find the Silver Crystal.
